Kansas City, Mo. - UMKC Softball has received a National Letter of Intent from Carli Slagle. Slagle, from Macon, Mo., will continue her education and play softball for the Kangaroos in the upcoming 2007 season.
A four-year letterwinner at Macon High, Slagle was honored as a second-team all-conference selection as a freshman and sophomore. She then earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior and senior, as well as a spot on the all-district team in both years. She was also a co-captain of the Tigerette softball team as a senior, while earning a Gold Glove Award.
Slagle is the fourth student-athlete to sign with UMKC. She joins Christina Lemon, Robyn Sadowski and Sunceray Titus, all of which signed during the early period.
