Jeff Chapman has more than 25 years of experience in volunteer and professional fundraising. His current role is directing planned giving and corporate relations campus wide, while also focusing on constituent fund development for the Henry W. Bloch School of Management, School of Law, School of Graduate Studies and the Honors College. Jeff came to UMKC in 2013 as director of major and leadership gifts for the Bloch School. During that time, the Bloch School has quadrupled the number of scholarship dollars and added over 70 new endowments.
Jeff is a 1993 graduate of Kansas State University where he also worked as director of corporate and foundation relations and director of development for the college of business administration for the KSU Foundation.
Jeff is a member of the Kansas City Plaza Rotary Club, recently serving as president. He currently serves Leadership Kansas Alumni as the elected representative of his class of 2012 for all events. He also assists leadership of the KC Metro Session annually and remains actively involved in all of the communities where he has lived and worked in Salina, Junction City and Manhattan, Kansas and in Kansas City, Missouri. He also served on the Kansas City committee for Coaches Versus Cancer.
He’s served on over 100 boards, councils and committees for government relations, the arts, athletics, social services and various chambers of commerce leadership positions and programs. He’s a published political cartoonist, sports writer and political advisor.
