Clayton Cloud joined the UMKC Sports Medicine staff in May 2018 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working with the women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis teams.
Prior to joining UMKC, Clayton earned a Master’s degree in Health & Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Science at Oklahoma Stat. While at OSU, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the track & field/cross country teams. Prior to graduate school, Clayton earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Art’s degree in Athletic Training in May 2016 from Wichita State.
In addition to being Athletic Training Certified and Licensed in Missouri, he is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society, is Heartsaver-First Aid CPR AED certified, IV/Intubation trained, and holds a blood flow restriction training certification from Owen’s Recovery Science. He and his wife Caitlyn, with their dog, Sadie, reside in Kansas City, Mo.
