In addition, the two sophomore's competed in the 200-meter dash as Kleiser finished sixth (25.36) and Momo (26.17) placed 15th.
Continuing with the women, the Blue & Gold had three runners compete in the 400-meter dash event led by senior Sa'Kia Taylor's fifth place finish (58.54). Freshman Briana Carter (59.32) finished ninth and senior Autumn Scott (59.67) placed 11th, respectively.
In the triple jump event, Stephany Johnson was the highest finisher for UMKC in fifth place with a mark of 38-01.25 (11.61). Carter finished three spots behind Johnson in eighth place with a mark of 36-02.25 (11.03).
Other notable finishes for the women included sophomore Veronica Rollins finishing eighth (1:38.47) in the 600-meter run event and Group A (Scott, Rollins, Taylor, and Carter) placing fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:56.26.
On the men's side, junior Josh Butler finished ninth (7.08) in the 60-meter dash after finishing 16th (7:05) in yesterday's preliminary round. Butler's day also consisted of a 17th place (22.71) in the 200-meter dash.
After finishing first in the triple jump event in all three competitions so far this season, senior D.C. Okonta finished third on Saturday with a mark of 49-05.00 (15.06).
In the KSU Invitational, notable performances for men included a pair of first place finishes for Charles Hinton in the long and triple jump events. Hinton finished with a mark of 20-10.75 (6.37) in the long jump and 42-10.75 (13.07) in the triple jump.
Junior Ramon Nelson continued his hot start to the season with a third place finish in the shot put and a second place finish in the weigh throw competition. Coming into Saturday's meet, Nelson had notched two first place finishes in the weight throw events.
Also, sophomore thrower Kris Leverette finished third behind Nelson in the weigh throw event with a mark of 54-10.25 (16.72).
For the UMKC women, freshman Siara Stahl's day was headlined by a third place finish (5:11.79) in the mile run event.
In the field events, sophomore Chelsea Richardson recorded a second place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 35-04.00 (10.78). In the shot put event, junior Susan Brueggemann finished third with a mark of 41-05.00 (12.62).
Next up for UMKC, it will head to Manhattan, Kan. for the second weekend in a row to compete in the Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 21. Times and location are to be announced.
