Jessica Dickson serves as the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, Operations and Championships. She joined the UMKC staff as the Director of Marketing and Promotions in August 2006 and has also previously served as the Associate and Assistant Athletics Director for External Relations.
Jessica is a member of the senior staff and serves as the sport administrator for women's soccer, softball and the spirit squads.
Special assignments at UMKC have included the 2012 and 2016 NACWAA National Convention Local Organizing Committee, serving as championship manager for the 2012 Summit League Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, 2012 Summit League Softball Championship, and served as the host liaison to the NCAA for the 2010 Division I Volleyball National Championship, 2016 Division I Men’s Soccer College Cup and the record breaking attended 2017 Division I Volleyball National Championship.
Since being officially assigned as championship manager for all UMKC event hosting, she has served as the championship manager for the 2015 WAC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championship, 2015 WAC Men’s Soccer Championship, 2015 WAC Volleyball Championship, 2016 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship, 2016 WAC Women’s Soccer Championship and the 2018 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
She is an active member of Women’s Leaders if College Sports (formally known as NACWAA) and has presented on multiple occasions at the NACDA national convention. Jessica is a graduate of the 2011 NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement (IAA) and the 2014 NCAA/NACWAA Leadership Enhancement Institute.
Jessica has been a volunteer at the Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundations/WIN for KC since 2005. She has also served on the board for the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer event for the past 11 years, chairing the event since 2015.
Prior to joining the UMKC team, Jessica spent 4 years at Spectrum (formally known as Time Warner Cable/Metro Sports) in Kansas City.
Jessica graduated from Central Missouri in May 2002 with a degree in public relations and a minor in photography. At Central, she was a four-year letter winner on the women's soccer team.
Jessica, her husband, Ryan, and their daughter, Morgan, reside in Kansas City, Missouri.
