LINCOLN, Neb. – The UMKC men’s and women’s track and field teams will resume the 2018 indoor slate at the Graduate Classic, hosted by the University of Nebraska, Jan. 12-13.

“We’re looking forward to competition at Nebraska,” head coach Shameika McField said. “Early January competitions let the staff know how much work needs to be put in for later in the season. For the most part, fall training went well so this meet will be to get the kinks out after a few weeks on winter break. As a team, we are working on competing better early in the season to improve performance throughout the year.”

The meet will begin on Friday evening with the women’s weight throw, long jump and pole vault events in the field, while the men’s and women’s 60-meter hurdles qualifying race will begin track events for the Roos.

UMKC will venture to Lawrence on Jan 25-26 for the Jayhawk Classic, hosted by the University of Kansas.
