(Overland Park, Kan.) – The Kansas City men’s golf team closed out the 2013 Bill Ross Intercollegiate in sixth place, firing their best round of the tournament with a 294 at the Millburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kan., on the final day of play.
Cole Chelle led the ‘Roos in the third round and in the tournament, carding a final round 72 to finish in 12th at +4. In his final round, the senior played the final 11 holes at -3 with three birdies and no bogies.
Fellow senior Jack Fiscus carded his third straight round of 74, finishing at +6 in a tie for 17th with two final round birdies, while sophomore Antoine Rozner also shot a 74 with a pair of birdies, placing in a tie for 27th at +8.
Cameron Wiltse shot the ‘Roos third 74 on the final day of play, as the sophomore eagled two of the course’s four par fives and added a birdie to finish in a tie for 59th at +16.
Senior Nathan Hughes rounded out the Kansas City lineup in a tie for 48th at +12 after a final round 75 that included three birdies.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again next week when they head to Las Cruces, N.M., to close out their fall season for the Herb Wimberly Invitational hosted by New Mexico State on Oct. 21-22 at the NMSU Golf Course.
