(Kansas City, Mo.) -- Kansas City junior-to-be Susan Kirschenman fired a 153 (77-76) in the opening stroke play rounds at the 113th WWGA National Amateur Championship at the Dayton Country Club in Dayton, Ohio, to advance to the match play portion of the event.

The Huxley, Iowa, native is now set to face-off with Penn State's No. 2 golfer, Ellen Ceresko at 10:30 a.m. CT in Wednesday's round of 64.

This past season, Kirschenman led the 'Roos with a 78.69 average and three top-10 finishes, earning her a spot on the First Team All-Summit League.
