(Kansas City, Mo.) - Kansas City men's tennis celebrated senior day with a 7-0 win over Western Illinois on Saturday as all five seniors picked up wins and the 'Roos clinched a spot in the Summit League Championships.
UMKC (8-10, 3-0 SL) clinched the doubles point after winning the No. 1 and No. 2 spots by 8-3, and 8-5 margins, before WIU (7-14, 1-1, SL) came back to win the No. 3 match in a tiebreaker.
With the 1-0 lead, Kansas City stayed on the offensive, picking up straight set wins from Nino Hasandedic, Abdulrahman Alawadhi and Tomas Patino to clinch the match.
