(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City women's tennis team faced off in a dual against Western Illinois on Thursday afternoon at the Plaza Tennis Center and came out victorious, beating the Leathernecks 7-0.

The Kangaroos (4-10, 1-0 SL) swept the Leathernecks (0-9, 0-2 SL) in all three doubles matches, as well as all six singles matches. The Kangaroos only surrendered a total of four games on the day with one coming in singles at the no. 6 spot, and three in doubles.

Kansas City will be looking to take this momentum into the next dual. The Kangaroos will dual the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
