UMKC welcomed back Abdulrahman Alawadhi to the lineup, and he came out with a doubles and singles win. His doubles win clinched the first point for UMKC (2-7), while Grant Fleming picked up the first singles win in straight sets. Alawadhi finished his match in straight sets as well, while Nino Hasandedic closed it out at No. 1 with the third straight set win for the 'Roos.
Kansas City will be back in action on Friday, March 22 to open Summit League play at home against South Dakota State.
