(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Summit League announced its Academic All-League Men's Soccer Team as voted by the faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors from all eight competing institutions. UMKC sophomore defender Michael Oakley was the lone selection for the 'Roos.

A total of 11 student-athletes were named to the team and honored for their academic and athletic performances this season.

Oakley, a product of Lee's Summit North High School, earned first-team All-Summit as well, and was a member of the All-Newcomer squad a year ago. He led the UMKC defense to a 5-2 league record and a conference-games goals against average of 1.23. He also scored a goal and logged two assists this season.
