(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City men's tennis team released their 2013 schedule on Wednesday. The 'Roos won the Summit League regular season and tournament titles a year ago, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in school history.

Last year the 'Roos went 10-16 overall and 4-1 in the Summit League. They return the last two conference Players and Newcomers of the Year, as well as four starters this season.

"We have a good nucleus of guys returning to our lineup with postseason experience." Head Coach Kendell Hale said, "We have high expectations for ourselves as always, and I like that our schedule will give us plenty of tests before league play begins. It will also be a good experience to play some matches in Orlando this spring."

UMKC's opens the schedule on the road January 26 at Wisconsin in Madison, where they will also face Southern Illinois.

The season's first home match is set for February 8 against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, with a match against Air Force the following week. Another highlight is a match against Arkansas on the road February 17.

Conference play begins at home as the 'Roos face three of their five opponents there. The opener is against South Dakota State on March 22, followed by a match against tournament runner-up IUPUI on the 24th, both at the Plaza Tennis Center.
