KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC volleyball (20-8, 11-3) will look for a WAC Conference Championship this week when it heads to Las Cruces, N.M., on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. CT to take on New Mexico State (20-7, 10-4) and Edinburg, Texas, on Nov. 17 at 12 p.m. CT to face UTRGV (20-8, 11-3).

UMKC enters the match with a 20-8 record overall and a 11-3 mark in WAC play to sit in a tie for first place. This season, the Roos have picked up WAC wins over CSU Bakersfield (x2), Utah Valley (x2), California Baptist (x2), Chicago State, Seattle U (x2) and Grand Canyon (x2). On the year, UMKC has garnered four WAC Player of the Week awards, as Tyrecia Lukes (x2) and Melanie Brecka garnered offensive honors and Alex Ratzlaff was awarded the defensive honor. The 18 wins, meanwhile, are the third most in program history.
New Mexico State enters the match with a 20-7 record overall and a record of 10-4 in the WAC to sit in third place, just one match back of the lead. The Aggies are coming off a pair of wins last week after beating Grand Canyon and California Baptist by 3-1 margins.
UTRGV enters the weekend tied with the Roos for the WAC lead with a conference mark of 11-3 and an overall record of 20-8. The Vaqueros are winners of six straight after beating Seattle U and California Baptist last week.
The Blue & Gold will head to Bakersfield, Calif., on Nov. 22-24 for the WAC Tournament.
