UMKC Opens their 2018 Schedule at the UNO Invitational

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC’s women’s golf team opens up the 2018 fall schedule with the UNO Invitational in Nebraska City, Neb., located at the Arbor Links Golf Course.

The Roos will be joined by eight other teams on the course, playing 36 holes on Friday and 18 holes on Saturday. Play will begin at 8 a.m. C.T. on each day, with teams starting on the first and 10th tees.

UMKC head coach Brianna Broderick has set her lineup for the weekend as Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia), Jaime Bellingham (Auckland, New Zealand), Theresa de Bochdanovits (Kits, Germany), Victoria Pavlik (San Antonio, Texas) and Megan Lucas (Topeka, Kan.) all get the nods.

Diaz, who returns as the lone senior on this year’s lineup, was named Second Team All-WAC from coaches and peers last season. This was her third All-WAC honor in her career, posting two First Team All-WAC selections her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Individual tournament players for the Roos are Hayley Jones (Andover, Kan.), Kenni Henson (Derby, Kan.) and Caroline Klemp (Lansing, Kan.)

The Roos finished 5th place in the WAC Championship for the 2018 spring season, with an overall team score of 296.

Joining UMKC on the course will include: South Dakota State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha, Creighton, South Dakota, Northern Iowa and CSU-Bakersfield.
