KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC men’s golf team will look to capture the WAC title when it heads to Hutchinson, Kan., for the WAC Championship at the Prairie Dunes Country Club (par-70; 6,940-yard) on Apr. 23-25.

Field (7 teams): Chicago State, Grand Canyon, NM State, Seattle, UMKC and Utah Valley and UT Rio Grande Valley.

Course: Prairie Dunes Country Club (Par – 70; 6,940 yards)

Location: Hutchinson, Kan.

Schedule: Monday – Round 1 (8-8:32 a.m. CT tee time)/Tuesday – Round 2 (TBD tee time)/ Wednesday – Round 3 (TBD tee time)

Last Time Out: The UMKC men’s golf team posted an 11th place finish on Saturday afternoon at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa., in the Hawkeye Invitational, finishing at +40, 616 (303-313).

Paul Foulquie paced the Roos in the event, finishing in a tie for 14th at +5.  In the opening round, the Frenchman tallied a pair of back nine birdies, on the par-5 No. 15 and the par-4 No. 18, while eagling No. 15 in Saturday’s round two.

Senior Jack Hermeston tied for 35th at +9, notching a single birdie in round one and adding a team-high two birdies in round two.

Francois Lagraulet was the squad’s next highest finisher, placing in a tie for 57th at +14 with his lone birdie of the event coming on the par-4 No. 16, while McCain Schellhardt tied for 60th one shot back at +15.  Schellhardt tallied back-to-back birdies on Nos. 1 and 2 in round one and added a third birdie in round two.
