The Roos return to action this weekend when they head to Chicago, Ill., for their final two WAC matches of the season.  Friday, UMKC takes on New Mexico State in a battle of the conference’s only two undefeated teams and will clinch at least a share of the WAC regular season crown with a win.  On Saturday, the Roos will face UTRGV in a match that could see the Roos win the WAC title outright with a victory.

Last time out the Roos fell 5-2 at Drake with Airam Castellano and Diego Giraldo picking up wins at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively in the loss.

New Mexico State enters the match with a 12-6 mark overall and a 3-0 record in WAC play with wins over UTRGV, Chicago State and Seattle, as well as New Mexico, UT Arlington, UC Riverside, DePaul, Weber State and St. Mary’s.

UTRGV comes into the weekend with an 8-9 record on the season and a 2-0 mark in conference action, falling to New Mexico State and Grand Canyon already this season.  The Vaqueros DI wins this year, meanwhile, have come over Prairie View A&M (x2), Oral Roberts, Southern Utah, Nicholls State, Lamar, Rice and Incarnate Word.

Up Next:  The Blue & Gold return to action next weekend when they head to St. Louis, Mo., on Apr. 20 to close out the regular season against Saint Louis at 12:15 p.m. CT.
