BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – UMKC men’s track and field standout Bryce Miller (Ashland, Wis.) will be the lone Roo to compete at the Hoosier Open, hosted by Indiana University, on Friday.
Miller will battle in the men’s 5,000-meter run at 6 p.m. CT at Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse. The senior enters the meet with a personal best time in the event of 14:20.69 that he notched as a sophomore at the Bryan Clay Invitational in California.
“Bryce is fit and ready to run a 5-kilometer,” assistant coach Brett Guemmer commented. “The table has been set with an amazing start list. It should be another great opportunity for Bryce to test himself and represent the university in a positive way.”
Miller and the Roos will have over a month to prepare for their 2018 debut, as UMKC is set to compete at the Holiday Inn Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., on Jan 12-13.
