Redshirt junior India Johnson (Overland Park, Kan.) made her second game-winner of the season in the 66-63 win over Utah Valley. Her half-court heave banked in off the glass as time expired in the fourth quarter to give the Roos the victory on Jan. 14.

Moore recorded a career-high 22 points in the loss to Seattle on Jan. 12 and scored 19 in the win over Utah Valley. She was given WAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for her performance.

Waldron led the way for UMKC at the Roo Holiday Classic, totaling 55 points over the two games, including 37 in the loss against Southern Illinois on Dec. 19.

Johnson was the star of the show in UMKC’s road win over Abilene Christian on Dec. 3, scoring a game-high 19 points, including 14 in the second half and overtime. She shot 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from the floor, knocking down five three-pointers, including the game-winner in overtime with 1.7 seconds remaining.

Waldron scored 22 points in the game, knocking down 4-of-8 three points shots. Waldron’s performance against the Shockers earned her the College Sports Madness WAC Player of the Week honor on Nov. 11.

In UMKC’s season opener against Tulsa on Nov. 11, three Roos reached double figures. Law notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Moore scored 16, and Lyndsay Leikem (Tucson, Ariz.) contributed 13 points off the bench.
