UMKC Travels to K-State Saturday to Begin Spring Season

MANHATTAN, Kan. – UMKC women’s tennis opens the spring schedule with a 3 p.m. CT match at Kansas State on Saturday afternoon. Live results will be available to follow along via UMKCstats.com.

The Roos will compete in 13 nonconference matches before beginning Western Athletic Conference competition at New Mexico State on March 18 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Junior Marina Albert (Thebes, Egypt) returns for her junior season after a second-team All-WAC performance a year ago.

UMKC finished 7-17 a year ago, including a 5-5 mark in matches played in Kansas City.

Kendell Hale is in his ninth year at the helm of the UMKC tennis program. Former Roos standout David Heckler enters his first season as an assistant coach.
