(Kansas City, Mo.) – Three ‘Roos scored in double figures, led by Plaza Lights Classic All-Tournament selection Aries Washington, who finished with a team-high 14 points, on 6-of-12 shooting from the field, three rebounds and two assists in UMKC women's basketball 63-58 defeat to SIU Edwardsville on Saturday night at the Swinney Recreation Center.

UMKC women's basketball returns to Kansas City for the third annual Plaza Lights Classic on Nov. 27-28. The ‘Roos will open on Friday at 1 p.m. against Indiana State, while SIU Edwardsville and Stephen F. Austin play at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Sycamores and the Lumberjacks play at 1 p.m. and the ‘Roos and Cougars square-off at 3:30 p.m.
