Colorado Springs, Colo. -- The UMKC men's soccer team dropped a 6-3 road decision at Air Force on Monday afternoon at Cadet Soccer Stadium.  The loss drops the 'Roos record to 4-6-1 on the year, while the Falcons improve to 5-3-1.

USAFA got on the board early in the game, as Kyle Moses notched the team's first goal in the eighth minute.  Moses received a pass into the middle of the box from Josh Rhynard before he fired the shot into an open net to give his squad the 1-0 lead.

UMKC quickly answered with a strike at the 9:42 mark by senior Bryan Perez, which evened the tally at one.  The Miami, Fla., native scored via a penalty kick to notch his fifth goal of the season.

A little over four minutes later, Garrett Getschow gave the Falcons the 2-1 lead with a goal in the 13th minute. USAFA then netted two additional strikes at the 28:56 and 32:41 marks to take a 4-1 lead into the break.

After the halftime intermission, USAFA's Josh Rhynard scored his second goal of the contest to stretch the Falcon advantage to 5-1.

UMKC went on to net its second goal at the 57:01 mark when sophomore Diego Rojas connected following an assist from Perez.  Perez sent a through pass into Rojas, who struck the shot from 12-yards out past Air Force's Jim Gullo.  The 'Roos' third goal then came in the 65th minute on an own goal by the Falcons.

Air Force, however, tacked on its sixth and final goal at the 74:09 mark, as it went on to claim the 6-3 victory.

UMKC goalkeeper Ken Cooper suffered the defeat, as he allowed five goals in 52:42 minutes of action.  Senior Ricardo Guerra replaced Cooper to close out the match, where he went on to collect six saves.

The 'Roos (4-6-1) will return to to Summit League action on Saturday night at Oral Roberts.  The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. in Tulsa.
